MEDICAL
ASSISTANT + MANAGER

The
Medical Assistant + Manager is Jorge Perez. He trained at
United Education Institute (UEI) (2003 graduate), where he
learned about medicine and the techniques of obtaining vital
signs, administering immunizations, performing certain tests, and
venipuncture (blood draw). Jorge scored a perfect 40 out
of 40 successful blood draws during his training at UEI and
currently uses the smallest "butterfly" needles to
draw blood to minimize any discomfort.
Jorge
is the Employee of the Month + has won a free monthly
pass on the Metropolitan Transit System. Congratulations!
Jorge
has a special interest and talent in fitness. He is also a
personal trainer and has recently undergone a fitness program
that he tailored for himself. In the course of a year he
was able to bring his resting heart rate from 87 down to 43
(making his heart that much more efficient so it has to pump
less times per minute to circulate his blood). Jorge eats
a variety of healthy, fresh mostly vegetarian food with plenty
of grains, fruits, vegetables, beans/seeds/nuts, and water.
He routinely goes to the gym and stretches, runs, and lifts
weights. In his free time, Jorge is an independent
personal trainer to those who want to maintain or improve their
confidence, shape, strength, fitness, energy, and vitality.
Jorge is also a boxing and soccer fan and young, proud father.
